The compressor of the CO2 heat pump uses R744 refrigerant, which is
carbon dioxide (CO2). It is an all-natural, non-polluting, non-toxic
refrigerant.
Although today’s best heat pumps can operate at outdoor temperatures
ranging from -20 °C to -25 °C, the R744 models equipped with compressors can
operate trouble-free at outdoor temperatures as low as -30 °C to -35 °C , The
temperature of the hot water produced exceeds 90 degrees Celsius!
The R744 heat pump has high efficiency and low carbon emissions, making
it an ideal choice for home and commercial applications.
