How to take anti-freezing measures for air source heat pumps to safely pass the heating season
Winter has arrived. As the air source heat pump main unit is usually installed outdoors, it is necessary to take anti-freezing measures in severe cold winter! This can not only ensure the stable operation of the system and improve the comfort of heating, but also avoid unnecessary economic losses. Come take a look!Installation
1. The air source heat pump host is more than 20mm above the ground
First of all, we must consider the installation details. If the air source heat pump host needs to be installed on the ground, the bottom of the host should be a certain distance from the ground. According to convention, the distance is generally required to be at least greater than 20mm. The realization method is also very simple. Put a steel support on the ground, and then fix the unit with expansion bolts to stabilize the air source heat pump in a horizontal state.
The advantage of this is that even if a large amount of condensate flows to the ground, it freezes under the effect of low temperature. Because the unit is installed at a high place, ice cubes are not easy to freeze the bottom of the air source heat pump unit.
2. The coil needs to bend around the wall
In the actual application and installation of air source heat pump heating, it is inevitable that the pipe will pass through the wall. At this time, pay attention to when the coil passes through the wall, try not to go straight and diagonally upward. If you go in diagonally upwards and the water pipe is not bent, the condensate may flow back down the pipe. In addition, the condensate temperature is too low, it is very likely to directly damage the air source heat pump unit.
3. Install the drain valve
In order to avoid the suspension of operation of the unit due to special circumstances, a drain valve and drain pipe should be installed at the lowest point of the water system during installation. Even if it is not at the lowest point of the unit, a drain valve should be added to the inlet and outlet of the unit.
Idle
1. Deactivate please empty
When the air source heat pump unit is out of operation for a long time, such as frequent power outages, shutdown of the unit at night, winter holidays, and infrequent use of the unit in winter, all water in the unit, water pump and outdoor pipeline should be drained to prevent the unit from freezing Bad.
At this time, it is necessary to open the drain valve of the water inlet and outlet to drain the remaining water in the main pump of the air source heat pump to prevent freezing and cracking after the temperature drops, and cut off the power supply. When it needs to run again, a comprehensive inspection of the air source heat pump system is required to ensure that there is no malfunction.
2. Reduce parameters
For short-term unmanned buildings, the operating parameters of the air source heat pump can be reduced. The water temperature of the air source heat pump can be set at 17℃/25℃, and the indoor heating can be maintained at 5℃~10℃.
3. Set up a backup water tank and a small generator
To deal with extreme weather and short-term power outages, a larger hot water storage tank can be installed. For example, a water tank can be installed in the flower shed to store hot water for 3 days. In order to cope with the power failure, a small generator can be installed to meet the power consumption of the circulating water pump.
Work use
1. Do pipe insulation
The exposed water pipes will decrease as the external environment temperature decreases. If the hot water pipes and return pipes are not insulated, the heat consumption will be accelerated. Therefore, it is very important to keep the pipes warm. The outer layer of outdoor thermal insulation is made of aluminum skin, and the outer layer of indoor thermal insulation is tied with white ties for beautiful appearance. Pipeline valves and bends must be well insulated to prevent the exposed points of the pipeline. When connecting between the pipe sleeve and the pipe sleeve, the end surface (circular seam) of the pipe sleeve must be coated with thermal insulation glue. The longitudinal seams of the pipe sleeve shall be staggered, and the joint between the pipe sleeve and the pipe sleeve shall be sealed with glue. When the pipe sleeve is connected to the host and the wall, the end face of the pipe sleeve and the end face of the host and the wall must also be coated with insulation glue.
2. keep power on
The air source heat pump unit needs to be energized when it is in use. This not only ensures that the unit can provide heating all the time, but also keeps the compressor running frequently to ensure that the unit does not form frost, so that the unit can operate normally, even when the outdoor temperature is too low in winter. Start the automatic antifreeze protection function.
3. Add antifreeze to the system
When the air source heat pump unit is inconvenient to drain water, you can add antifreeze, such as -15℃, -25℃, but because the price of antifreeze is higher, it will increase the initial investment cost. And when using antifreeze, you must be careful not to use cheap ones, such as methanol blended antifreeze, which is corrosive to the pipeline and will cause greater damage to valves, pipe fittings, water pumps, and unit heat exchangers.
4.Ice and snow treatment
If the outdoor pipe has frozen, but there is no cracking, remember not to knock the pipe or pour hot water on it, just wait for the ice on it to melt naturally.
In addition, the installation location of the air source heat pump must not be well ventilated. If there are debris in front of it, please pay attention to cleaning it. If the snow is too heavy in winter, pay more attention to clearing the snow in time.
5. Don't disturb the control panel function keys
There are many buttons on the control panel of the air source heat pump host, some of which are for adjusting the water temperature, and some are for timing. If the user disturbs it, it may affect the normal operation of the host. For example, if the timing key is pressed, the air source heat pump host may not start when it needs to work.
6. Properly dispose of condensate
The air source heat pump is frozen, the main reason is that the air temperature is too low. When the air source heat pump main engine is working, condensate will be generated. Once the condensate drains not smoothly and accumulates around the equipment, it may cause the equipment to freeze. Therefore, in order to avoid equipment freezing, the condensate must be effectively treated. The solutions are: 1. Raise the installation position of the main engine. The more serious the local ice and snow conditions, the higher the installation position should be; 2. Add a heating cable to the chassis of the air source heat pump main engine to defrost and melt ice; 3. In the condensate or defrost water The outer wall of the drainage pipe is wrapped with heating tape to prevent freezing.
Finally, Leomon wishes everyone a safe heating season!
