Is Air Source Heat Pump Heating Easy to Use in Alpine Regions?

In recent years, the air source heat pump heating market has developed rapidly, and its market share has also been rising. However, as the application area becomes wider and wider, the challenges faced are increasing. For example, in high cold areas such as Tibet, not only the temperature is low, but the average altitude is also over 3,500 meters, which requires very high adaptability of air source heat pump equipment.

What are the challenges of air energy in alpine regions?

Due to the vast land and sparse population, it is very difficult to heat in high-cold areas such as Tibet. The municipal heating pipe network cannot be connected and the natural gas supply conditions are not available. The main methods are traditional methods such as burning coal and wood. And this also leaves specific market space for energy-saving and environmentally friendly air source heat pump heating.

1.However, the weather and geographical environmental conditions in the alpine region are also worse. Take Tibet, China as an example, the average altitude exceeds 3,500 meters, which means that not only the temperature is low in winter, but also because of the thin air, the efficiency of the air source heat pump equipment during heat exchange will be greatly reduced. According to local experienced merchants, generally speaking, if the altitude is between 3200-4000 meters, the heat exchange efficiency is about 20% lower. If the altitude is higher, for example, 4500 meters or more, the efficiency is even lower.

2.Secondly, like China's Tibet area, the temperature difference between day and night is large, the ultraviolet rays are also stronger, and the protection requirements for the host and pipeline are also higher. Take pipe insulation as an example. Regardless of appearance, black insulation cotton may be used in other places, and then tape can be used. But if the project in Tibet does this, it will age and crack soon, and strong protective measures must be taken, such as wrapping with aluminum skin.

In addition, due to the high altitude, the oxygen content will be greatly reduced, coupled with the low temperature, it is more difficult for workers to install. Poor traffic conditions have also greatly increased the difficulty of equipment transportation and after-sales. These are all problems that must be solved when air source heat pump heating is applied in alpine regions.

Designed according to the climate characteristics of cold regions, its main performance characteristics are:

High-efficiency jet enthalpy technology:
Adopt brand-new jet enthalpy increase technology and unique enthalpy increase branch circuit design to ensure that the unit successfully draws liquid at ultra-low ambient temperature. Compared with ordinary enthalpy increase, this technology can break through the technical barrier of ultra-low temperature, even at -30°C ambient temperature, it can still produce stable heating.

Ultra-wide operating temperature:
According to the ambient temperature and water temperature, it can automatically judge the load condition of the unit, and automatically adjust the operating status during overload operation to ensure that the unit can operate safely and stably within the ambient temperature range of -30℃~43℃. The maximum outlet water temperature can reach 65℃. Connect various terminals such as radiator, fan and floor heating.

Intelligent precision defrosting technology:
Using intelligent precise defrosting technology, it can intelligently determine whether to defrost according to the operating conditions of the unit (operating time, exhaust temperature, etc.), combined with ambient temperature and frost thickness, so as to achieve defrost with frost and no defrost without frost, which greatly extends The defrost cycle shortens the defrost time by more than 20% to ensure the efficient operation of the unit.

Fully automatic intelligent control:
Adopting a new generation of microcomputer automatic intelligent controller, which can realize automatic switching of various operating modes, and operate at will.

In general, the current air source heat pump equipment can be used in alpine regions. Although it is expensive to build, with the passage of time and technological advancement, air energy heat pump products will surely enter millions of households in China.
