Isn't an air source heat pump an air conditioner? What is the difference between them?

Consumers have raised a lot of questions about air source heat pumps, which explains from the side that air source heat pumps have grown from unknown to well-known, and more and more consumers are paying attention. The difference between air source heat pump and air conditioner can be explained from three aspects:

1. Different directions.

Air source heat pumps and air conditioners follow the second law of thermodynamics, but there is a difference. Air conditioners correspond to Carnot cycle, which is compression, condensation, interception, and evaporation; air source heat pumps correspond to reverse Carnot cycle, which is the opposite of air conditioners. of.

After the air conditioner compresses the refrigerant, it changes from liquid to gas, evaporates and absorbs the heat in the air, and then discharges the heat to the outdoors through the heat exchange of the outdoor condenser to achieve cooling. The air source heat pump converts low-grade heat energy into high-grade heat energy. The refrigerant is compressed by the compressor to increase the temperature of the refrigerant and turn it into a high-temperature and high-pressure gas. After reaching the water and refrigerant heat exchanger, it is condensed, and then the shutoff parts Stop the flow and then go outside to evaporate and absorb the heat outside.

2. The working temperature is different.

The working temperature of the air source heat pump can reach -25℃, or even -30℃, and the high temperature can reach 46℃; while the air conditioner is impossible to work at such a low ambient temperature.

3. The key components are very different, including compressors, intercepting components, condensers and evaporators.

The temperature curve of the air conditioner compressor is relatively narrow. The condenser refers to the outdoor heat exchange unit, and the evaporator refers to the outdoor heat exchange unit. The evaporator mainly absorbs indoor heat, reduces the indoor temperature, and plays a role in cooling. . The evaporation temperature of the air source heat pump compressor is relatively high, and high water temperature may be required, which means that the corresponding condensing temperature of the compressor is relatively high, and the operating range will be much larger than that of the air conditioner. Its condenser corresponds to the heat exchange between water and refrigerant. The unit involves efficient use. The evaporator corresponds to the part that discharges the cold to the outside and absorbs outdoor heat.
