What size pool heat pump do I need?

At Leomon, to ensure you choose the right product for your pool, we've put together this guide to help you invest in the perfect sized pool heat pump.
Pool Heat Pump Sizing Guide:
Suppose in calculating the minimum kilowatt hours required to heat a swimming pool or pond, we made some assumptions as follows;
1. When not in use, the swimming pool is covered with a suitable cover, ie. Solar or Bubble Mask
2. Outdoor swimming pool not exceeding two hours per day
3. Swimming season from May to September
4. The required water temperature is 27-28°C
5. The average temperature is 15°C
6. Calculated based on aboveground pool volume filled to 80% capacity
7. Your pool pump meets the required flow (see Heat Pump Specifications)
8. The recommended kW is the recommended minimum pool capacity
9. Ponds are insulated and covered
10. Keep pond temperature 15°C in winter / 20-22°C in summer

Caution
To achieve higher water temperatures, a larger heat pump is recommended - approximately 2KW more heating capacity per degree above 27-28°C
To extend the swimming season, a larger heat pump is recommended - approximately 3KW of heating capacity per month before or after May to September
