Air Source Heat Pump Bungalow Project

Mr & Mrs Gray contacted Leomon because they were recommended the Leomon heat pump.

The client has an old gas boiler that was recently reprimanded by a gas engineer.

To replace the rear boiler requires a new modern gas boiler in a new location, so the replacement cost of the gas solution is very high.

Leomon provided a quote to install an air source heat pump, hot water, cylinders and new radiators.

Considering the 7-year payments made by the Renewable Heat Incentive Program, the heat pump solution is not only less expensive to install, but also less expensive to operate compared to the gas-fired solution

Therefore, the customer chooses to continue with Leomon's new heat pump solution

Heat Pump Options

After completing our heat loss calculations for the property, we selected a Leomon 8.5kw ultra-quiet air source heat pump and a 150 litre hot water tank in the attic

Hot water supply

A new 150-liter cylinder was installed in the attic

We disconnected and deactivated the existing hot tub and water tank in the attic

New radiator

Existing radiators are old and too small to work with modern high efficiency air source heat pumps.

So as part of the installation, we installed new double-panel, double-converters for each room

Wireless thermostat

A Mitsubishi wireless thermostat is provided, which allows homeowners to easily view the current room temperature and set the desired temperature.

Since the thermostat is wireless, it can be placed in any suitable location for easy monitoring

The main system controller adopts the new LMC5 system, which is extremely simple to operate.

Install

System installation completed in about 5 days

After the system is commissioned, a handover package is provided to the customer, which includes the MCS certificate for installation, user guide and user manual, etc.

There is also a video that provides an easy-to-follow guide on how to operate a new heat pump unit.

Mr & Mrs Gray is trained on how to operate the system and of course Leomon is ready to answer any questions they may have in the future.
