Principle of Cooling and Heating with Air Source Heat Pump

The working principle of air source heat pump cooling and heating dual-purpose equipment is based on the reverse Carnot cycle. By consuming a small amount of electrical energy, it can extract or release energy from the air, thereby achieving the purpose of cooling and heating.

 

Basic components

1. Compressor

Compress the refrigerant to increase its pressure and temperature.

2. Condenser

Release heat to indoor or outdoor.

3. Evaporator

Absorb heat from the air.

4. Throttle valve

Regulate the flow and pressure of the refrigerant.

 

Air source heat pump cooling process

1. Low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant gas is sucked in by the compressor and compressed into high-temperature and high-pressure gas.

 

2. High-temperature and high-pressure gas enters the condenser, releases heat and condenses into liquid through heat exchange with air or water.

 

3. The liquid is depressurized and cooled by the throttle valve, becoming a low-temperature and low-pressure liquid.

 

4. The low-temperature and low-pressure liquid enters the evaporator, absorbs heat from the indoor air, and lowers the indoor temperature.

 

Air source heat pump heating process

1. Low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant gas is sucked into the compressor and compressed into high-temperature and high-pressure gas.

2. High-temperature and high-pressure gas enters the condenser and releases heat into the water through heat exchange with water.

3. The heated water transfers heat to the room through floor heating, radiators or fan coils to increase the indoor temperature.
