What does COP1.8 and 2.0 of Air Source Heat Pump Mean?

1.8 and 2.0 of air source heat pump, from the perspective of COP energy efficiency ratio, refer to the coefficient of performance (COP) of the heat pump under winter design conditions, that is, the ratio of the heat supply of the heat pump to the input power. Specifically:

 

COP is 1.8

This refers to the minimum performance requirement of a unit heat pump with smaller specifications and direct expansion. Under winter design conditions, the COP of such a heat pump should not be lower than 1.8 to ensure that it can still work effectively in a cold environment.

 

COP is 2.0

This refers to the minimum performance requirement of an air source heat pump. Under winter design conditions, the COP of such a heat pump should not be lower than 2.0 to ensure that it has high energy efficiency and reliability when providing hot water.

 

Therefore, the difference between 1.8 and 2.0 is that they are respectively applicable to different types of air source heat pumps and reflect the energy efficiency standards of different heat pumps when operating in winter.
